 Many friends of SNP have seen us as the conference bookstore at workshops presented by Michelle Garcia Winner. Michelle now has an outstanding video which features:
• A 2-hour workshop Michelle presented that highlights the key points of her "I LAUGH" Framework along with practical social and educational suggestions. This workshop helps to explain how a social skills deficit quickly becomes an academic deficit as well.
• A 2-hour demonstration of therapy techniques she uses when introducing new students to her therapy concepts. This video shows Michelle working with 2 groups of students (a younger group and an adolescent group) as well as 2 different individual treatment sessions. The video provides clear examples on how to provide concrete information about socially abstract concepts such as perspective taking, being part of a group and using language and actions that others can interpret successfully.
