In this three-hour presentation Carol explains the genesis for her concept and leads the audience through exercises where they can write their own social stories. The workshop also shares an insight into the perspective of people with ASD that is central to all of the social understanding strategies developed by Carol Gray. Carol Gray has twenty years experience educating students with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). Carol initiated the use of Social Stories in 1991 and has written several articles and chapters on the subject. She is a sought after speaker in the United States and abroad. Carol is the director of The Gray Center for Social Learning and Understanding, a non-profit organization that serves people with ASD, and is employed as a consultant for Jenison Public Schools in Michigan.
