Rio 2016: Queen Hails 'Magnificent' Paralympians on Homecoming

The Queen has praised the performance of Britain's Paralympics team at Rio 2016 as "magnificent" as the athletes returned to the UK on a special flight.

Parades to celebrate the country's Olympic and Paralympic success have been confirmed for Manchester on 17 October and London a day later.

Paralympic medallists were welcomed by fans and family who met their flight at London Heathrow on Tuesday morning.

GB won 147 medals, 64 of them gold, at the Paralympics and 67 Olympic medals.

US Paralympics announce full delegation for Rio 2016

US Paralympics has announced its full team competing at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, held 7-18 September. The 267-member team, which includes seven guides for athletes with visual impairments, is the largest US delegation in history.

Team USA Comes Home with 115 Medals, 40 Golds!

Team USA wrapped up the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, having completed its most successful performances at the Games in recent history. The team of 289 athletes won a total of 115 medals, and finished fourth in the overall medal count.

Two new Paralympic champions were crowned at Olympic Stadium Wednesday as Team USA added five medals to its tally, including two gold, and smashed a world record.

Last weekend, we held our annual in-house children’s tournament. The event was a huge success and our special needs division was the most remarkable of the day. This division was comprised of children with a variety of special needs and they competed just like children in the mainstream divisions. Children from our studio as well as other local studios performed together either with a shadow or independently. Some utilized PECs (pictures) while others were assisted hand-over-hand or followed.
