Remember, when kids learn in a relaxed environment like playing a game, they retain what they learn at much higher rates, so get your educational fun games today! Here are a few tips:
- Write down 3 positive comments about each family member and share them with each other
- String popcorn – either for the tree or as a wall decoration
- Make a collage from your Christmas cards
- Bake cookies together
- Take an evening drive to see the holiday lights (and afterwards talk about your favorite ones)
- Take a holiday hike in the woods
- Collect pine cones and then put glitter on them for a table decoration
- Make place cards for everyone for the holiday dinner table
- Watch a holiday movie together
- Go Christmas caroling in the neighborhood
- Have a family game night
- Read a Christmas story or holiday book as a family
